MOU for Cooperation and Utilization of Mutual Capacities in Developing Oil Industry Technologies Signed Between Hormozgan Park and the Oil Industry Innovation and Technology Park

In line with the policies announced by the Supreme Leader and with the aim of developing the innovation ecosystem in the country’s strategic industries, a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the Hormozgan Science and Technology Park and the Oil Industry Innovation and Technology Park. This MOU, signed by Dr. Alireza Nasiri, President of Hormozgan Park, and Dr. Seyed Farhang Fasihi, President of the Oil Industry Park, marks a new chapter in technological cooperation to address the needs and advance the oil, gas, refining, and petrochemical industries.

According to the Public and International Relations Department of Hormozgan Science and Technology Park, Nasiri stated: “This strategic collaboration is formed with the goal of leveraging the mutual capacities of the two parks and creating synergy among technology and knowledge-based companies based in Tehran and Hormozgan.”

He added: “Under this three-year agreement, the parties have committed to collaborate on key areas, including:

Developing the Innovation Ecosystem: Paving the way for the joint presence and activities of member knowledge-based and technology companies from both parks to solve the technological challenges of the oil industry.

Commercialization and Market Development: Creating opportunities for the commercialization of products and services from knowledge-based companies and facilitating their entry into domestic and international markets.

Knowledge and Technology Transfer: Assisting the growth and development of startup companies in Hormozgan Park by transferring experience and technology from capable companies at the Oil Industry Park.

Attracting Investment: Identifying top ideas and creating the necessary conditions to attract domestic and foreign investors for technological projects.

Infrastructure Utilization: Jointly using laboratory, workshop, equipment, and specialized consulting service capacities of both parties.”

Nasiri explained: “To achieve these goals, specific commitments have been defined for both parks. The Oil Industry Park is committed to communicating the technological needs of the oil industry to companies in Hormozgan, facilitating their participation in specialized events, and providing necessary training.”

The President of Hormozgan Science and Technology Park further stated: “In return, Hormozgan Park, by leveraging its local credibility and capacities, will facilitate the process of securing research and industrial contracts for member companies of the Oil Industry Park. Furthermore, our park will create connections with major industries in Hormozgan province, especially in the steel, aluminum, and marine sectors, to benefit from the technological spillover from the oil industry.”

Nasiri concluded: “This strategic cooperation is a significant step towards strengthening the country’s technology network, supporting knowledge-based companies, and making optimal use of regional capacities to solve national challenges in the oil industry.”
